Senior Systems Engineer Summary

Develop and implement cloud architecture solutions based on industry best practices. Design and deploy hyper-converged infrastructure solutions to meet the organization’s needs.
Create and maintain virtualization strategies to maximize resource utilization.
Provide expert knowledge, leadership, and support on Dell VxRail and vStart environment, other HCI technologies, Microsoft, Linux (Red Hat and oracle Linux), Postgres, Backup (Commvault, Veeam, EMC networker), and all other services.
Provide expert knowledge, leadership, and support on Microsoft Exchange, Citrix, Virtual desktops, Virtualisation solutions like VMware.
Lead the implementation of cloud services, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems. Deploy and configure hyper-converged infrastructure solutions, including storage, compute, and networking components. Manage and oversee the deployment of virtualization technologies, such as VMware, Hyper-V, or KVM.
Monitor and optimize cloud-based resources to ensure performance, availability, and cost-effectiveness. Manage and troubleshoot hyper-converged infrastructure components, addressing performance bottlenecks and ensuring high availability.
Implement and manage virtualized environments, ensuring proper resource allocation and performance.
Resolve customer reported issues while working closely with the internal team and OEM teams and provide timely feedback to customer improving the product quality and reliability.
Implement and maintain security measures to protect cloud-based, hyper-converged, and virtualized environments.
Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations, conducting regular audits and assessments.
Develop and implement automation scripts to streamline repetitive tasks and enhance operational efficiency.
Utilize tools like Ansible, Terraform, or PowerShell to automate infrastructure provisioning and management processes.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including network administrators, system administrators, and developers, to ensure seamless integration of systems.
Document system configurations, procedures, and best practices.
Ensuring all elements of the process, including major Incident Management are implemented and operationally managed, monitoring risks, issues, action logs and dependencies and maintaining the Lessons Learnt Log.
Provide technical support and guidance with direct involvement in incidents or problems (irrespective of priority) that cause service impact and acts as escalation point for incidents not being resolved in a timely manner.
Plan and implement upgrades needed to maintain service levels, and replacement of infrastructure at end of life where required.
Identify opportunities to simplify IT operations through continuous improvement initiatives.
Develop strategies to grow Company business including recurrent/managed services in assigned customers.
