A Leading Insurance company is seeking to hire an IT Security Manager

JOB PURPOSE
To provide efficient and effective planning, implementation, monitoring and oversight of the overall security Operations of the entire Group.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. The IT Security Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing the information security program within the group.
  2. Responsible for identifying and mitigating security threats and risks, developing and implementing security policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations, training employees on security awareness.
  3. Manage the operational, technological and legal risks associated with the business.
  4. Monitor and improve the security systems and Networks that protect the Group data and information identifying threats, risks and relevant mitigation methods to support risk decisions and carry out security risk assessment operations.
  5. Establish proper governance to control and proactively spot problems and changes in the underlying systems risk profile.

EXPERIENCE/ KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, information security or related fields.
  2. At least 10+ years of experience in technology or IT risk management of which 4-5years must be at Management level
  3. Relevant certifications such as CISM, CISA, CISSP.
  4. Experience in managing or working in a SOC will be an added advantage.
  5. In-depth knowledge of industry trends and standards such ISO 27001:2022, ISO 27002, 22301.
  6. Proficient in the latest cybersecurity software including Microsoft Sentinel, Microsoft 365 Defender, Archsight, solarWinds SIEM, IBM security QRadar.
  7. Ability to communicate effectively to management and board members.
