Our client is a large multinational engineering and construction company. The firm is Headquartered in Texas, United States (US) with presence in Africa and Ghana as the Africa Head Office. They are seeking a Procurement Director to oversee they’re Africa operations.
Summary
The Procurement Director shall be responsible for the procurement of goods, works and services of the right specifications, at the right price from the right source and delivered at the right time at the right place to facilitate the achievement of corporate objectives within the framework of the company’s statutes and policies.
Responsibilities
• Prepare annual procurement plan which will be reviewed quarterly.
• Receive and review requests for materials and services
• Prepare tender documents
• Advertise tenders and award contracts as directed by management.
• Prepare/review contract agreements
• Manage procurement contracts as directed by management.
• Maintain and update register of suppliers of goods and services
• Advise management on the activities of the procurement unit.
• Provide leadership and guidance in planning and implementing the unit’s activities
Qualification Required & Experience
• Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Logistics
• Must have a minimum of ten (10) years senior supervisory experience in procurement
• Must be a Member of the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (CIPS).
