WCFO is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounts Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a background in accounting and will play a key role in financial management, reporting, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations and auditing procedures.
Prepare and maintain accurate financial records for the organization.
Generate financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
Ensure compliance with local accounting regulations.
Manage tax compliance and filings.
Conduct internal audits to establish and maintain internal controls.
Collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders to provide financial insights and support decision-making.
Liaise with cocoa farmers, cooperatives, and industry partners to address financial queries and concerns.
Utilize accounting software relevant to the cocoa industry for efficient financial management.
Contribute to the development of project proposals and funding applications.
Higher National Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field.
Proven work experience in accounting with at least 1 year of work experience.
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and other relevant accounting software.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication skills in English. Fluency in Twi is a plus.
