Senior Sales Account Executive

Under the supervision of the Chief Operations Officer, the Senior Sales Account Executive will have to cater for clients underwriting and claims issues for efficient and effective brokerage services within the Ascoma Group.

As part of your job, you will have to supervise junior account Executives and account executives.

Job requirements

          GENERAL DUTIES :

  • Arrange Insurance cover for clients
  • Negotiate policy terms and costs with insurance providers
  • Manage client’s data and records ensuring confidentiality (except for its intended purpose)
  • Renew and amend client’s policies as appropriate
  • Log data into Ascoma data capturing software and other excel templates as provided
  • Seek quotation from various insurers with respect to the risk exposure of prospective clients in line with company laid down procedure on seeking quotes
  • Help formulate effective strategies within the department to help achieve set targets
  • Build tactical business relationships with clients and maintain them
  • Discuss and assess clients’ current and future insurance needs
  • Collect insurance premiums before policies are incepted/effected or renewed
  • Ensure all clients records and or information are kept on their files both hard and soft copies
  • Ensure files meet regulatory requirements and internal documentation standards
  • Keep records on all transactions with regards to various rates applicable
  • Attend meetings where necessary and ensure minutes of all meetings are taken with copies on client files
  • Prospect for new clients
  • Ensure all claims are reported immediately to insurers once AG becomes aware
  • Liaise with all other departments to ensure no claims are left unattended
  • Conduct site surveys on all claims reported
  • Assist clients in completing all relevant claim forms and aiding them in putting together all relevant documentation
  • Ensure prompt settlement of all clients claims
  • Ensure weekly, monthly and quarterly reports are submitted to supervisors as promptly required
  • Ensure that all pre and post renewal reports for the departmental clients are sent on time as per company laid down procedure
  • Undertake general administrative duties such as correspondence and strategic report writing

          MANAGERIAL DUTIES

  • Assist Chief Operating Officer in organizing, planning and implementing strategy for the department

          OTHER DUTIES

  • Carry out any other duties that may be assigned by the Executive Director and Chief Operating Officer

Profil required

          EDUCATION LEVEL

  • Bachelor or Master Degree
  • Diploma In Insurance
  • Chartered Insurance would be a plus

          TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES

  • Knowledge in Insurance and related fields of study
  • Knowledge in computer

          MANAGERIAL COMPETENCIES

  • Ability to plan, coordinate and follow activities
  • Ability to identify and evaluate alternative solution to problems
  • Ability to take timely decisions
  • Ability to establish objective, targets and goals
