Recovery Officer
AFRO-ARAB Microfinance Limited is seeking a qualified candidate to fill the position of Recovery Officer to provide technical support to the Credit Department in bad debt recovery in order to effectively manage loan recoveries and written-off loans as well as manage and mitigate credit risk. Related to current jobs in Ghana 2023
Recovery Officer Duties and Responsibilities
- Keep tracking outstanding debts
- Plan a course of action to recover owed money
- Locate and contact debtors
- Update account status and database regularly
- Comply with requirements when legal action is unavoidable
- Handle customers’ questions or complaints
- Negotiate payoff deadlines and payment plans
- Build trust with debtors
- Identify gaps in the system and recommend solutions
Requirements / Skills / Qualifications of the Credit Officer
- Bachelor’s Degree in the field of Finance & Banking, Accounting or other related fields
- HND in related courses
- 2 years of experience as a recovery officer
- Knowledge of relevant legal requirements
- Good knowledge of MS Office and databases
- Good negotiation and persuasion skills
- Experience in working with targets and tight deadlines
- Team player
- Good time-management skills
- Great interpersonal and communication skills
