Duties and Responsibilities:
- Looking for suitable customers to form groups
- Interview/screen prospective clients and guide them through the application process ensuring that all required documentation is provided by the client.
- Perform pre-qualification assessment including visits to the client’s place of business.
- Prepare appraisal reports for clients’ loan requests.
- Communicate loan approval or denial to the client and facilitate the disbursement process.
- Maintain credit/loan files to ensure that files are complete (application letter, appraisal form and report, loan reports.)
- Undertake field approval letter, documentation of security, repayment schedule and monitoring and recovery
- Provide technical advice and manage useful and practical information for the benefit of customers.
- Ensure a healthy and quality loan portfolio.
- Responsible for the growth of the loan portfolio.
- Monitor the credit performance of clients including the status of payments and conditions of the client’s business on a monthly basis.
- Market the institution’s loan products to clients and build and maintain client relationships educating them on any new products and services.
- Prepare weekly and monthly performance reports to ensure correct classification and provisioning for loans and advances.
- Perform all other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
Required Qualification /Experience/ Skills
- Minimum Diploma / HND / First Degree in any Discipline
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Energetic, flexible, collaborative and a team player
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Quality-oriented with an eye for details
- Ability to multitask and work within deadlines
- Highly motivated professional with the highest level of integrity
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, Word, etc
