General Planning Supervisor Summary
Location: Bolgatanga- GH Region: Upper East Region
The primary purpose of this role is to streamline and manage the overall planning, tracking and reporting activities, with emphasis on operations. This role will lead the development of yearly, quarterly and monthly plans in alignment with strategic objectives, track execution of planning, consolidate and analyzes data, and generate insightful reports in conformance with organizational needs, supporting decision-making.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
Standards development
Develop standards, workflows and templates for operations planning, data management and reporting.
Manage the creation and maintenance of a centralized operations database and repository ensuring data availability, accuracy, integrity, and standardization.
Liaise with various stakeholders for standardization of data management and reliable data flow.
Operations planning
Lead the development of yearly, quarterly and monthly planning in compliance with organizational objectives and planning standards, taking into consideration budget, forecast and historical data.
Collaborate with various departments to gather input and feedback for completing and refining operations planning and reporting initiatives.
Data management, data analytics and Reporting
Collection, collation and consolidation of operations data and project progress.
Conduct operations data analysis to track progress against planning, highlight deviations, trends, and patterns, and identify opportunities for improvement. Interpret data, present findings and insights to stakeholders.
Prepare reports and dashboards of operational performances, in accordance with company requirements.
Evaluate operations performance using data analysis, identify gap and recommend improvement.
Perform any other related duties based on the exigencies of the Company as assigned by the manager.
Skills Required
Minimum qualification (s)
Bachelor’s degree in Mining, Metallurgy, Mathematics, Data Science or Statistics, or related field.
Member of the Ghana Institute of Engineers preferred.
Experience (Minimum)
Minimum of 5 years experience in mining industry in operations or data management roles.
Solid experience in operations data management and analysis.
Experience in operations planning and reporting on site scale.
Experience with database management system is a plus.
Knowledge (In-depth)
Sound gold processing knowledge, and basic knowledge in open pit mining.
Proficient in data compilation, collation, analysis, report preparation and presentation.
Familiar with operations KPIs in mining industry.
Familiar with structure of site level operations planning and reporting.
Skills
Proficient with MS Office suite, advanced user of Excel and PowerPoint, and will be preferred if experienced in advanced visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
Strong data analytic skills, capable of interpreting complex data sets and derive meaningful insights.
Strong communication and presentation skills, strong visualization skills.
