Civil Engineering Superintendent Summary

OBJECTIVE: The Civil Engineering Superintendent will be responsible for overseeing all civil engineering activities for ongoing projects at Power Production Sites (construction of new power production facilities, relocation of assets, etc.). This is a role that requires both strong technical expertise in civil engineering and excellent project management skills in order to ensure that all civil engineering aspects of projects are executed efficiently, safely, and within budgetary constraints.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Collaborate with Plant Managers, VP of Operations – Power, VP of Technical Services, clients, and other stakeholders to define project requirements, scope, and deliverables.
Provide strong technical expertise to ensure that all aspects of civil engineering are overseen and coordinated.
Ensure that projects are implemented in compliance with detailed designs and technical specifications.
Establish and enforce safety protocols, operating procedures, and environmental regulations to maintain safe and compliant facilities.
Continuously identify opportunities for process improvement, energy efficiency, and cost reduction.
Provide technical support and guidance to the Operations & Maintenance Team as needed (maintenance plans, technical issues, etc.).
Contribute to develop and oversee all budget items, including cost control and expenditure forecasting, related to the design of civil engineering systems.
Work closely with the Supply Chain department on all Purchase and Service Order Agreements relating to all civil engineering activities.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor in Civil Engineering.
Master in Engineering, Business, or Management, is a plus.
Multicultural experience is a plus.

KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:

A minimum of 8+ years of experience in civil engineering, specifically in the Oil & Gas industry.
A minimum of 6+ years of post-qualification experience and competence with EPC projects (ideally building / relocation of power plants, gas processing facilities, LNG terminals).
Familiarity with regulatory requirements for operating plants, including Process Safety Management, OSHA regulations, EPA regulations, EEOC guidelines, and other federal and local requirements
