Operations Planner Summary

To assist in operational planning, reporting, and data management tasks. This includes supporting the development of operational schedules, compiling data for reports, conducting basic data analysis, and monitoring organizational performance.

The role contributes to effective planning and execution of operational activities to align with organizational goals.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities
Operations Planning and Reporting
Assist in gathering data and information for operational planning activities
Support the development and maintenance of operational schedules, aligned with organizational goals
Assist in compiling and organizing operational data for reporting purposes, ensuring accuracy and completeness
Contribute to the preparation of regular operational reports and performance dashboards
Support the maintenance of operational databases and repositories, ensuring data integrity and accessibility
Assist in conducting basic data analysis tasks using spreadsheet
Provide accurate and timely planning information, such as progress and productivity updates, along with critical path, near critical path, and other extracts from the schedule(s).
Performance Monitoring
Aid in the monitoring of operations related organizational performance across various departments, highlighting deviations and trends for further analysis.
Coordination and Communication
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and departments to gather input and feedback for operational planning and reporting initiatives.
Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders, providing updates on operations status and assisting with coordination efforts.
Perform any other related duties based on the exigencies of the Company as assigned by the manager.
Skills Required
Minimum qualification (s)
Degree in Mining Engineering, Metallurgy or other related engineering field.
Member of the Ghana Institution of Engineers is desirable.
Experience (Minimum)
Minimum three (3) years of experience in a similar position in the mining, manufacturing, technology industry or similar environment.
Knowledge of document control functions and electronic document management systems.
Valid DVLA License Class B
Knowledge (In-depth)
Proven experience in operations planning and reporting.
Sound gold processing knowledge, and knowledge in open pit mining is a plus
Knowledge of related project controls functions including progress measurement.
Knowledge of Critical Path Schedule and Analysis will be a plus.
Knowledge of Project Schedule Risks will be a plus.
Skills
Basic understanding of operational planning principles and methodologies
Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
Proficient in data analysis, report preparation, presentation and visualization skills.
