Surveyor Summary

The incumbent will monitor and proof check various survey works conducted by the survey team, ensuring precision and compliance with industry standards and company requirements. This role requires acute attention to detail, strong technical expertise and a commitment to maintaining the highest quality of survey data.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities
Survey Quality Assurance and Control
Monitor ongoing survey operations to ensure accuracy and adherence to predefined specifications.
Conduct thorough checks of survey data for quality and precision, identifying and addressing any discrepancies, from earthwork BOQ determination to acceptance survey.
Maintain rigorous standards of data verification and validation to support reliable construction and mining operations.
Participate in drafting, review and revision of survey standards and procedures within the organization.
Data Management and Reporting
Compile and review survey data, ensuring comprehensive documentation and timely reporting.
Provide detailed feedback and recommendations for improvements to enhance survey practices.
Conduct survey, computation and reporting as and when needed.
Perform any other related duties based on the exigencies of the Company as assigned by the manager.
Skills Required
Minimum qualification (s)
Degree in Geomatic Engineering/Geodetic Engineering or other related engineering field.
Professional/Trainee professional of the Ghana Institution of Surveyors.
GCAA RPAS License or certificate of GCAA RPAS certified trainer institution.
Valid DVLA License Class B
Experience (Minimum)
Minimum of 3 years of experience in topography survey including Road Infrastructure, TSF Dams, Industrial Construction or Open Pit Mining Operations.
Experience with survey data collection, volume computation and survey reporting.
Knowledge (In-depth)
Knowledge of Topography survey.
BOQ of earthwork, both during design and acceptance phase
In-depth in survey standards and procedures.
Software Proficiency include Pix4D/Agisoft Metashape, Geovia Surpac, QGIS/ArcGIS, and Civil3D/AutoCAD, Datamine or similar.
Skills
Skilled in survey Instrument including UAV/RPA system (preferably Phantom experience), GNSS DGPS system, Total Stations, and Digital/Automatic Levels.
Download and upload data in different formats for processing and stakeout.
Proficient in survey data processing and reporting.
