The services we provide range from primary and emergency care, aeromedical evacuation and crisis response to medical supply chain management, procurement, and hospital staffing and management. We have a well-compensated opportunity for Ward Supervisor interested in delivering care in a region of pressing need and boundless opportunity. AMI covers visa costs, flights, and accommodation.
Supervise a team of staff and ensures staff are managed efficiently and effectively.
Attend hospital meetings within agreed timescales.
Ensure your areas of work are clean throughout the day.
Train all other departments within the unit to cover unscheduled absence.
Develop effective work schedule for staff nurses.
Record patients medical histories and symptoms.
Administer patients medicines and treatments.
Deliver professional health services including provision of inpatient care which adhere to the facilities policies and procedures.
Train and work in a designated role within the facilitys trauma system, which is based on Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS).
Operate within the context of the facilitys Mass Casualty Incident Plan in the designated role, or in other roles as directed by the Project Manager or designee.
Sterilization and maintenance of surgical instruments/equipment and stores.
Orientation for incoming nurses.
At least 3 to 5 years experience as a nurse.
Diploma/Bachelors Degree in Nursing, or equivalent. Degree in management or equivalent is preferred but not required.
Current unrestricted registration as a Registered Nurse within home country.
At least 3 years continuous experience in an acute setting.
Demonstrate sufficient recent clinical experience in the last 12 months commensurate with the role.
A valid Home Country License must always be maintained
Current Advanced Life Support (ACLS) is preferred but not required, Basic Life Support (BLS) accredited through the AHA or equivalent
