Technical Support Coordinator Summary

The Technical Support Coordinator at Saint-Gobain provides technical support to the commercial team,

exports administration, customers and stakeholders, through technical development and quality take outs to enhance

customer service, specification os Saint-Gobain solutions and products, demand fulfilment.


The Technical Support Coordinator also aims to develop and manage/ coordinate engagement programmes and relationships with specifiers and other industry players in order to promote Saint-Gobain’s solutions and products.

Responsibilities:

To provide bill of quantity (BOQ) calculation support to ensure timely response to enquiries for enhanced service and securing of projects.

Qualifications required to fulfil the role

Tertiary qualification in Quantity Surveying (Preferable)/ Building Technology/Construction Management/ Architecture or Equivalent qualification within the built environment.

Specific Work Experience, Knowledge and Skills required to fulfil the role

o 5 years’ experience within the built environment

o Technical Knowledge and experience of building systems & products

o CAD and/or other 3-D drawing package experience- must be able to visualize objects in 3D and sketch freehand. Keen to learn new software packages

o Experience or knowledge of the building industry and related industry standards.

o Mathematical skills to make technical calculations

o Scientific ability to understand building technology

o Must be capable of working on their own or as part of a team

o Willingness to learn and desire to help others learn

o Flexibility and availability to travel, sometimes at short notice

o Prepared to travel both locally and internationally if required

o Valid passport and driving license

o Knowledge of construction process stages and ability to identify opportunities to improve efficiency within a customer’s construction programme

o IT proficient and a capacity to learn new tools and understand (building industry) software

o Good time management

o Very high attention to detail
