mPharma is looking for a strong retail profile who can develop and lead their retail business across mPharma.
The SVP Retail will provide leadership, direction and resources to all parts of the Retail BU. The person will be heavily involved in successfully scaling and optimizing QualityRx (mPharmas conversion franchise), Kumera (JV providing pharmacies and convenience stores in gas stations) and their own pharmacies under the Haltons banner.
In addition, the retail SVP will drive relevant technology enabled solutions, including our inhouse pharmacy solution (Bloom) and our consumer loyalty program (Mutti), and ensure integration across all retail activities and brands.
The person will work closely with the CEO and leadership team of mPharma to achieve key business objectives in alignment with the overall business strategy. The person will also be on point to ensure development of the necessary organizational retail capabilities to ensure long term success.
? Ensure execution of retail strategy across mPharma
? Refine strategy in cooperation with the CEO as desired.
? Own retail franchise blueprints and refine as required to ensure relevancy across the business
? Champion our pharmacy solution bloom both internally and externally and support its grow as the preferred solution across pharmacies in Africa
? Monitor trends, customer feedback, process outcomes to consistent ensure relevancy of retail approach
? Work with COO and country MDs to enable execution across all countries.
? Partner with Products and Engineering teams to drive technology enabled solutions across our retail businesses
? Own retail branding strategy and execution – in close collaboration with the CEO and leadership team
? Retail capability development across mPharma
? Help manage and develop retail talent across mPharma
? Engage small global team of direct reports and ensure successful collaboration across mPharma
? Build and own relationship with external parties
? Collaborate with leadership and global management to enable success of mPharma overall
? Conduct and behave in accordance with mPharma values and policies at all times
The Ideal Candidate:
? 10+ years experience in leadership roles across commercial functions in the Retail industry
? Track-record of excellent strategic execution in the retail industry across countries (and possibly continents).
? Efficient matrix worker who can deal with ambiguity and get things done through influencing others.
? Strong leader with a proven ability to attract, develop, and retain superstar-level talent.
? Experience in building a retail franchise business is a plus
? Strategic thinker able to operate as a senior leader and influence go to market and company strategy.
? 5+ years experience in managing regional teams
? Commercially astute person who can think strategically and use them as a basis for prioritization. Proven ability to succeed in a highly results-driven environment
? High standard of professionalism and integrity
? Action and results-oriented. Highly productive both personally and as a leader
? Highly self-aware, collaborative, and open to feedback and transparent.
? MBA or similar masters degree
? Pharmacy Degree – experience from the healthcare industry is a plus
? The role reports to the CEO
