The Opportunity

It is an exciting time for the Finance team at Plan International. We are embarking on significant departmental transformation to ensure strong financial capability and to maximise the impact of our financial resources, particularly important in challenging economic times, for the ultimate benefit of children, especially girls. As we embark on this ambitious and exciting journey, we are recruiting for a number of new finance roles, who will help to prepare, position and strengthen the organisation to achieve long lasting change in children’s lives. We are particularly keen to build our technical expertise and create stronger business partnering approach, so would love to hear from candidates with exceptional skills and experience in these areas on a global scale.

As the Strategic Financial Analyst and Modeller, you will provide expert modelling and strategic analytical insight of Plan International’s financial economy to underpin strategic thinking and to ensure the financial sustainability of the whole organisation. You will be required to review and analyse business cases prepared for new initiatives whilst acting as a key advisor to colleagues on financial, economic and commercial aspects of business case development.

In this role you will contribute to the transformation of Plan’s culture to ensure decisions are evidence-based and financially/commercially viable whilst also providing strategic advice to senior managers in order to support the successful delivery of Plan International’s mission and strategy. You will champion change by developing and communicating plans to ensure change is successfully implemented within your department.

The Individual

We are looking to recruit an individual with exceptional financial modelling skills and experience. You will need to have strong financial/economic analysis experience and be able to manage risk. You will also have demonstrable experience in project management and the ability to manage technology and digital working.

To be successful in this role you will need to have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to communicate complex technical matters effectively to a non-technical audience. Location: Global Hub (Woking, UK where we are all currently working from home due to Government restrictions) or in most locations where Plan International has a legal entity and you have the pre-existing right to live and work
