This position is for a person skilled in social marketing and design. They would work closely with the Headquarters Africa team, reporting through a strong dotted line to The Manager of marketing for Africa (Jim Greene.) Their direct-line manager would be to the FHD Area Manager. Reading, speaking and writing in English, as well as local dialect(s) is essential
The HQ team will look to this person to provide the expertise to localize all materials no matter where there are created.
If created at HQ they would need to translate and/or assure the translation is localized both idiomatically as well as to local speech patterns and word usages.
If created locally they would need to supervise or do the design creation and the correlation approval process.
Be taught to Include Adobe tracking codes for tracking via Adobe analytics, and to use Bitly to shorten and customize URLs.
Learn the process as detailed by HQ to set up, localize, track, and report on social campaigns
Counsel with HQ on best practices for methodologies, messages, calls to action, and local channels for the campaigns
Eventually set up and manage a social delivery calendar for weekly or twice weekly notifications and mini-campaigns, and larger campaigns once per quarter.
Help establish a multi-area Africa Outreach Council where representatives from each area work together to reach area goals through social campaigns. (May be asked to lead the council).
HQ will provide ideas for design, call to action, offering. This person will be needed to fully localize and launch the campaigns.
Required: Secondary school diploma. Post-secondary and/or trade school certification preferred.
This person should also have at least 2-years experience with:
Facebook and Facebook paid ads
Cursory ability to use Photoshop (good working skills preferred)
Know design fundamentals as far as layout and elements for meme creation that will be used in social media and social sharing across platforms
Have full working knowledge of the Microsoft suite of office products: Teams, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Excel, One Note
Be familiar with Hootsuite or another social media calendaring tool
In addition, this person would need to demonstrate:
Good work habits of delivering what is asked for on-time.
Good communication skills through all mediaemail, text, WhatsApp, Teams.
The ability to work occasional flexible hours so as to be available for key meetings during times that are not normal work hours locally.
