The PM for Africa will spend 75% of his/her time on managing the delivery on ongoing and new public projects (covering diverse areas such as AMR, Supply Chain, M&E etc) and 25% of his/her time on supporting business development to grow IQVIA’s Public Health portfolio in the region

Project Delivery/Management: Roles and responsibilities –

The PM will take up program management role to oversee all activities within the project. Must have a Master’s in public health/similar education in area of healthcare, experience (10+ years) in managing public health projects and/or in similar work to provide technical expertise and guidance in workshops, expert/stakeholder consultations, in-country presentations and coordination activities for the program across the Africa region. Specific responsibilities will include:

Develop the project plan with timelines and deliverables and lead project to successful completion, on-time and on-budget, from start to finish with limited senior management guidance
Manage the smooth rollout and implementation of the project across as per agreed project plan and timelines
Support hiring and managing of project teams and data collection agencies/external consultants
Manage the project team including both internal and external resources in the design, development and delivery of project
Serve as the liaison between the client, consortium partners, IQVIA regional and country teams
Provide technical leadership during project delivery
Provide high level input to, and ensure the development of, client reports and presentations and delivers all or significant portions of findings to the client
Negotiate and manage third party contracts for data collection and/or other activities
Conduct on-site technical assistance visits to each county/country as needed/requested
Represent IQVIA in stakeholder/client/consortium meetings
Proactively mentor, coach and shares subject matter expertise with team members
Business Development function: Roles and responsibilities –

Provide inputs to the process of proposal preparation and/or modifications including overall bid integrity, understand the needs of the stakeholders and drive development of relevant and cost-competitive bids
Identify partners, consultants and subject matter experts in the country and region for bids and pursuits
Develop and/or elevate new business opportunities through the identification of follow-on work and new leads
