The Planned Parenthood Association of Ghana (PPAG), an NGO and a member of the International Planned Parenthood Federation (IPPF), and a leading provider of Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) education and services, hereby invites result-oriented and committed persons to apply for the following vacant position to be filled in the Association.

POSITION : MONITORING & EVALUATION OFFICER

REPORT TO : RESEARCH, MONITORING & EVALUATION MANAGER

LOCATION : HEAD OFFICE (ACCRA)

JOB ROLE: The Monitoring and Evaluation Officer will primarily assist in the development, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of assigned projects in the Association.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assist in conducting monitoring and evaluation exercises of assigned projects.
Assist in ensuring adherence to and compliance with IPPF standards and project specific standards.
Support the coordination of all research activities in the Association. This will include but not limited to research study design; designing appropriate instruments for data collection; data analysis; and report writing among others.
Support the undertaking of periodic analysis on performance standards and trends for effective decision making.
Support the management of the Association’s Programmatic and Service Statistics database including entries
Support in the compilation and submission of Programmatic and Financial reports
Perform any other duties assigned by the immediate supervisor.
QUALIFICATION, EXPERIENCE AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS

A first degree in social sciences, public health, demography, statistics, development studies, computer science or its equivalent with a minimum of three (3) years relevant working experience.
OTHER QUALITIES AND REQUIREMENTS

A good knowledge in the application of statistical and analytics software e.g. SPSS, Stata, and Microsoft Excel.
Relevant experience in field research activities.
Have strong analytical skills: including qualitative and quantitative skills.
Attentiveness to details.
Have a very high sense of responsibility, accuracy and dependable.
Very good interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written).
Must be a team player, be able to take initiatives and have the ability to work for long hours with little or no supervision.
