Users earn cashback rewards for each and every purchase they make from their favourite retailers through the app. Merchants and service providers are able to reach and retain key consumers through special offers and rewards. Bitback is looking for a Merchant Sales & Success Manager to join our team! Youll have the opportunity to lead our merchant sales efforts in Ghana in advance of our launch. Youll be working with merchants that range from fast food chains to supermarkets to help them understand the value in Bitbacks offering and help set up their first campaigns. A core component of your role will be to achieve our merchant acquisition and revenue goals by generating interest, qualifying prospects, and onboarding them onto the platform. Not only will you be acquiring new merchants through inbound and outbound sales efforts, but you will also be responsible for the key account management of existing merchants to ensure they are realizing value in the platform. In this aspect of your role, youll be expected to form close relationships with merchants to understand their goals and advise them on the best way to achieve their goals through Bitback. Ultimately, we want to ensure merchants are successful and happy with the platform, and you will be fundamental to achieving this outcome. Reporting to the CEO, youll be part of a small but savvy team where resourcefulness and tenacity are required.
Manage inbound merchant leads and guide them through the sales process to close
Source new sales opportunities through outbound cold calls and emails
Research prospects, identify key prospects, and generate interest while ensuring a thorough understanding of merchant needs and goals
Work closely with the marketing manager and executives to develop messaging that resonates with our market and merchants, articulate collateral needs that would accelerate the sales process
Manage inbound and outbound sales workflows through a central CRM system, provide weekly reporting to the team on the sales funnel and status of key accounts
Develop and maintain a thorough working knowledge of Bitbacks value proposition and awareness of competitors in the retail promotional space
Work with executive, development and marketing team members to drive a successful market implementation of Bitbacks merchant strategy in Ghana
Create strong relationships with our Merchants and ensure they are clearly aware of our offering and value proposition, recommend ways to best utilize the Bitback platform
Engage with high-priority Merchants who are facing challenges to help them solve their problems
Connect Merchants with the product team to assist with specialized use cases or goals, advocate for Merchants needs and requests
Support merchants growth with campaign creation for sales improvement and maximum value add from Bitbacks platform
At least 2+ years of sales development role or inside sales experience/prospecting directly into SMEs and/or enterprise clients within a software product
History of over-achieving your quotas and other professional goals
Having a deep understanding of (and passion for) the retail and e-commerce market landscape in Ghana, including leaders in the space, the problems businesses are solving for, common pain points, and emerging merchant and consumer trends
Excellent performance and results in Customer Success, Client management, or similar role
You are resourceful and able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively
Fluent in English
Strong phone presence and experience dialing dozens of calls per day and developing/executing thoughtful ongoing contact strategies
Experience working with a CRM
Excellent verbal and written communications skills
Strong listening skills and ability tailor messaging according to audience
Expertise with e-commerce, POS systems, and tech in Retail stores
Experience working with mobile money merchant payment products
Entrepreneurial experience as startup founder, business owner, or early team member in a hyper growth business
