Import/Export Coordinator Description

Ensure the new Regional Supply Chain organization is meeting the objectives for the Region in terms of Compliance and legal requirements for all imports and exports.

Core Responsibilities/ Expectations

Co-ordinate all imports including clearing instructions to respective clearing agents.
Co-ordinate all Exports including clearing instructions to respective clearing agents/Transporters.
Ensure compliance to legal requirements for imports.
Ensure compliance to legal requirements for exports.
Plan & coordinate international shipments of goods from Product Company (PC) to Regional Distribution Center (RDC)
Plan & coordinate international shipments of goods from RDC to Local Distribution Centers (LDC’s)
Support Neighboring countries in Region in terms of legal, VAT and SARS documentation
Co-ordinate & Expedite all ocean freight shipments & advise on arrival ( ETD & ETA )
Co-ordinate & Expedite all road freight ( FTL & LTL ) shipments & advise on arrival ( status updates )

Reports to Import Export Team Lead

Requirements

Knowledge and Experience

Certificate or Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or equivalent experience.
1 Year of Supply Chain Experience.
Good knowledge of import/export processes and legal requirements
Understanding of domestic and international sales order throughput processes
English communication skills both verbal and written.
Personality

Positive attitude and willingness to collaborate with all functions for the good of Epiroc.
Business oriented and able to communicate effectively with colleagues at all levels
Openness to change and reactiveness
Well organized and focused on continuous improvement
Strong Supply Chain orientation
Excellent planning and execution capabilities

The location of the positon will be in Epiroc Mali.

This position will initially have a 12 months duration period with a possibility for duration extension there after.
