HSEQ Officer required for LNG related project in West Africa.
This is an ambitious FRU/ FSRU related project and candidates with relevant experience are welcome to apply.
Develop strategies for reducing safety and environmental incidents.
Promote safety behavior and safety culture.
Person in charge of medical care of the FRU.
Elaborate risk assessments and ensure all the operations/activities are carried out as per Company standards.
Responsible for the correct application of the relevant HSE legislation.
Promotion and implementation of continuous improvement programs.
Plan and conduct safety drills as per the approved schedule.
Plan and implement safety-related actions and courses.
Review and approve Permit to Work procedures
Develop the role of Ship Security Officer (SSO) on board the FRU and carry out all the tasks and duties related with this position: arranging internal audits, enhancing security awareness and vigilance, being the contact on board with the Company Security Officer, etc.
Guarantee the certification of the standards that apply, of those that are already in force and obtain the certification of those that are new.
Direct and, where appropriate, carry out integrated audits and supervise the carrying out of inspections and security control at the Terminal.
Carry out the correct management of hazardous waste; control the correct segregation of waste; complete the non-hazardous waste registration book and the hazardous waste registration book; check and update the identification
Knowledge of LNG cargo operations, including cargo transfer, Ship-to-Ship operations and LNG regasification processes.
Extensive knowledge in handling and stowage of supplies, including dangerous goods.
Knowledge in use of cranes and lifting equipment.
Deep knowledge of pollution prevention systems and equipment and pollution prevention procedures.
Extensive knowledge about safe working practices: occupational safety, permit to work, works under water, confined spaces, etc
Extensive knowledge about working in hazardous areas.
Extensive knowledge of life saving appliances.
Basic knowledge of quality assurance systems/standards, preferably ISO 9001 and ISM Code.
Extensive knowledge about occupational health and safety.
+5 years of experience in oil and gas industry, with at least 2 years of experience in LNG.
