A firm in the hospitality space in Kumasi’s Techiman Highway is looking for a Head of Operations to oversee its hotel operations
Head of Operations Duties
Ensure that each unit (sales, housekeeping, maintenance, front office) delivers a consistently high standard of guest service.
Also, achieve business objectives and maximise the profitability of all outlets.
The Head of Operations will maintain effective cost controls in all areas.
Plan and direct (together with the hotel manager) the hotel main operations including quality, standards,
cleanliness, guest satisfaction.
Promote a culture of excellence in guest care through a warm welcome and a desire to exceed expectations.
Work alongside all operational units to ensure the smooth running of the day-to-day operations.
Conduct regular operations meeting with all units to discuss routine operational matters, departmental performance targets and guest feedback.
Be responsible for maximising profit through the consistent delivery of the highest standard of service.
The Head of Operations will ensure consistent implementation and review of SOPs throughout all units
The Head of Operations will be responsible for all the day-to-day queries, complaints or problems that arise in the hotel.
Liaise daily with the Manager to forecast Hotel business on a weekly basis and plan accordingly.
Maximise financial opportunities and achieve a pro-active up-selling environment throughout the hotel.
The Head of Operations will carry out Duty Management shifts as required.
Conduct regular fire walks and Health & Safety audits.
Promote a positive employee relations culture through effective communication and regular team meetings.
Carry out regular inspections of all departments in the areas of guest service delivery, cleanliness, presentation,
service delivery, employee presentation and grooming.
Ensure that reasonable care is taken for the Health and Safety of yourself, other employees, guests and any other
persons on the Hotel premises.
Required Skills or Experience
Bachelor degree or HND in hotel business management or related field.
Professional qualifications will be an added advantage
Must possess a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience
Extensive knowledge about the Excel spreadsheet and other MS Office applications
Punctual, reliable and must have strong communication skill
Able to work in a team and produce quality output under tight deadlines
Strong verbal and oral communication skills
Self-motivated and strong analytical skills
Attention to detail, prioritization skills and time management
Quick learner with a positive attitude
Able to interact effectively with all levels of management and vendors
