The Centre helps financial institutions, businesses, governments and economies to scale-up sustainable finance. Together with partners, we are about to launch frankly.green, a crowdinvesting platform through which German retail investors will be able to finance sustainable enterprises and green investments in emerging markets.
The development of the platform is currently in its final stage, expected to launch with the first

About the position
The Centre is seeking to recruit a Deal Originator for building the initial frankly.green pipeline in Ghana starting in February 2021; the term of the contract will be limited.
Roles and responsibilities
? Deal origination and pipeline building for frankly.green in Ghana;
? Identifying eligible SMEs and developing investable cases in the Ghanaian SME sector;
? Utilization of existing network and contacts to i) make frankly.green known among a large number of
potential investees; ii) present frankly.green directly to the investees decision makers;
? Provide market intelligence on which industry sectors and companies to target primarily;
? Contribution to the initial financial screening, i.e. ensuring that the pipeline of SMEs fulfills some
minimum standards before being analyzed in more details by our Frankfurt team; yet the focus of the position will be clearly on establishing contacts and creating a large pipeline volume, with only limited (initial) contribution to the financial feasibility analysis.
Qualifications and requirements
? At least five years professional experience in deal origination, SME finance, investment management,
industry association, chamber of commerce or another related area;
? Large active network and established contacts within the Ghanaian SME sector;
? Reliability, sense of responsibility and ability to work independently;
? Pro-active, outgoing and persistent attitude; deal-oriented mindset;
? Knowledge and understanding of green investments is considered a plus;
? Ideally experience in financial analysis, whereas network and contacts in the SME sector are considered
? Ideally residence in Accra or another larger town in the Greater Accra region.
