The Planned Parenthood Association of Ghana (PPAG), is an NGO and a member of the International Planned Parenthood Federation (IPPF). PPAG, a leading provider of Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) education, information and services in Ghana, hereby invites result-oriented and committed persons to apply for the following vacant position to be filled in the Association.
POSITION: Governance Officer
REPORTS TO: Executive Director
LOCATION: Head Office (ACCRA)
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist in developing and promoting external relation with donors and key stakeholders as well as articulating the vision and mission of PPAG
Coordinate and review, planning, implementation and evaluation of programmes with functional Directors and other stakeholders
Coordinate, develop and maintain internal/external communication systems to ensure that volunteers and staff are aware of the prevailing policies of the Association`s Vision, Mission and objectives.
Coordinate and facilitate volunteers and Management activities at the Executive Director`s desk
Assist and effectively coordinate volunteer activities in all zones
Act as a link between Management, Executive Director and Volunteers
Assist in producing monthly Newsletters/Briefs
Provide protocol assistance to all volunteers visiting the ED`s office and support them in the purpose of their visit
Ensure that all out-going correspondence are sent on schedule and all in-coming ones that need ED`s attention get to him/her within twenty-four (24) hours
Enhance partnership collaboration by assisting volunteer activities
Organize and facilitate Council meetings, activities, etc
Assist Management in organizing Annual General Meetings (AGM)
Keep an update on all organized meetings and prepare accurate report on minutes taken.
Ensure proper documentation and availability of volunteer activity data and information for decision making
Assist with all HR duties; Filing, Interviews, leave applications, Orientation, Running errands for the unit etc
Perform any other duties as may be assigned by the Executive Director
A minimum of a first degree in Administration/Management Studies, social sciences/Sciences, or its equivalent from a recognized tertiary institution with a minimum of three (3) years relevant working experience.

Excellent managerial/analytical skills and good knowledge in the use of computer
Must be honest, transparent and reliable
Must be able to work with little or no supervision and have an eye for details
Very good interpersonal and human relations
Excellent report writing and communication skills
Must be presentable, serviceable and dutiful
Must have high sense of responsibility and be able to take initiatives
Must be youth friendly and a team player
Have the ability to assist people and coordinate affairs easily and effectively
Have good organizational and planning skills
A knowledge in current SRH and population issues will be an added advantage
Ability to work under pressure and for long hours
Ability to maintain confidentiality
