Total Family Health Organisation (TFHO) is an indigenous Ghanaian social marketing organization duly registered in accordance with the laws of Ghana on February 1, 2017.

We partner with government, private sector, and civil society is to improve the health of people living in Ghana

primarily through implementation of innovative evidence-based interventions that increases access to and utilization of health products and services in a measurable and impactful way.

Our key intervention areas include: Reproductive (including family planning and HIV), Maternal, Newborn, and Child Health (RMNCH), communicable and non-communicable diseases, Water Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH), nutrition, and malaria.

Social and Behavioral Change Communication (SBCC) and social marketing remains our unique expertise.

We utilize our deep insight and skills in SBCC and social marketing to promote positive social and behavior change

among individuals and communities using strategies that address the interests of the people we are trying to reach, the obstacles to change and the many forces that influence behavior and choice.

 Field Assistant Description

The Field Assistant is responsible for working with key program staff and the Zonal Field Coordinator in the implementation of project objectives within the respective zone.

The Field Assistant will support project teams to achieve project deliverables.

JOB SPECIFICATION

The Field Assistant will support the Zonal Field Coordinator in program implementation within the respective zones.

The Field Assistant will produce periodic reports on all project implementation activities within the respective zones.

Assist in all program-related activities in the zone including but not limited to community mobilization, overseeing community-based distribution effort, among others.

Support activities related to program implementation including but not limited to partner assessment, tool creation, technology deployment, and workshop and meeting participation.

Support and organize partnership workshops and meetings.
Assist with M&E training for survey assistants.

Support Research, Monitoring, and Evaluation team to carry out program research analysis, writing or evidence gathering.

Support merchandising activities, product availability, and visibility in assigned territories

Support distribution, demand creation, and SBCC interventions in respective zones with support from the Zonal Field Coordinator and Technical Leads.

Assist to track and report on lead generation and campaigns

Assist in the preparation and organization of promotional events within the zone.

Support in Detailing and follow up with service providers i.e. public and private hospitals, clinics, health centres, CHPS, etc. to promote the utilization of TFHO commodities.

STAKEHOLDER RESULTS:

Build and maintain a healthy pipeline of client and business partners.
Identify models and partners for post-project sustainability.

Any other official responsibilities as may be assigned to you.

Required Skills or Experience

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s degree in Humanities and Development Studies or relevant field is required.

Minimum of three (3) or more years of related work experience

Experience in both NGO and donor funded setting

Strong computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

SKILLS:

Communication – Good communication skill and ability to adapt quickly to changing environment is essential.

Ability to effectively communicate with other staff members and act as a representative of TFHO to the public
Organization & Time Management  Ability to prioritize tasks, execute and deliver results

Attention to Detail  role requires being careful about detail and thorough in completing tasks.

Analytical Skill – the role requires being able to use data to present opportunities to stakeholder

Microsoft 365 Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Planner, PowerPoint, Teams, OneDrive & SharePoint)

Excellent Interpersonal Relationships – role requires building and maintaining healthy relationships at all levels

Information Gathering & Monitoring – role requires data collection to make informed decisions and report writing

Adaptability – ability to anticipate and respond swiftly to changing dynamics within the local setting
Stress Management – Ability to perform under pressure and stressful conditions

Negotiation – role requires good negotiation skills
