USAID Advancing Nutrition is USAIDs flagship multi-sectoral nutrition project, led by JSI Research & Training Institute, Inc. (JSI), and a diverse group of experienced partners. Launched in September 2018, USAID Advancing Nutrition implements and provides technical support to nutrition interventions across sectors and disciplines for USAID and its partners. The projects multi-sectoral approach draws together global nutrition experience to design, implement and evaluate programs that address the root causes of malnutrition. Committed to using a systems approach, USAID Advancing Nutrition strives to sustain positive outcomes by building local capacity, supporting behavior change, and strengthening the enabling environment to save lives, improve health, build resilience, increase economic productivity and advance development.
From 2020 – 2022, USAID Advancing Nutrition will provide technical support and assessment services to advance the Government of Ghanas efforts to improve equitable delivery of quality services that promote household resilience and early childhood growth and development. Technical services provided through USAID Advancing Nutrition will strengthen national and local government planning in Northern Ghana and stimulate the development of multisectoral solutions most pressing food security and nutrition problems. The portfolio will encompass activities funded by USAID/Washington as well as the USAID Ghana Mission.

The data enumerator (s) will work under the direction of the Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) Specialist
USAID Advancing Nutrition Ghana Project wishes to engage the service of data enumerator(s) on a temporal contract to assist USAID Advancing Nutrition Ghana with data enumeration on the assessment of Food Security and Nutrition Services in 17 MMDAs (Northern, North East, Upper East and Upper West regions respectively)
Scope of Work
The data enumerators will be responsible for collecting (Qualitative) data from the assigned MMDAs in the preferred region.
The data enumerators under the direction of the USAID Advancing Nutrition Regional Coordinators will visit the assigned institutions and collect data.
The data enumerators will be responsible for submitting a report based on an agreed format to the MEL Specialist at the end of the data enumeration.
They will be required to validate the data with the MEL Specialist before clearance and payment.
Required Skills or Experience
Minimum of a High National Diploma (HND) or equivalent. Degree or Masters will be an advantage.
At least 2 years working experience in qualitative data enumeration.
Qualitative Data enumeration skills
Work with a USAID-funded project
Familiar with Food Security and Nutrition Sector activities
Ability to work in a team.
Ability to take initiative and complete tasks with minimal supervision
Effective interpersonal skills to interact with all levels of staff and partners
NGO and or development work experience is an added advantage.
