Role Summary: The Corporate/Institutional FI trader is responsible for initiation and execution of fixed income products on behalf of corporate and retail clients. Primary tasks include negotiating and developing trading strategies based on client demands and ensuring the successful executions of all trade orders.
Duties and Responsibilities
Specific Duties include, but are not limited to:
Work closely with clients to ensure successful execution of all trade orders
Perform market research and provide trade recommendations to clients
Ensure timely settlement of all trade orders
Work with settlement partners to resolve trade-related issues
Perform periodic reconciliations to ensure revenue calculations are accurate
Oversight of trading queues into accounting book for record keeping
Maintaining and understanding of team expectations and company policies
Understand clients operational requirements and expectations, develop and implement a plan to meet their needs and conduct regular client meetings to ensure needs are being met
Maintain active communication with fixed income front office traders
Prepare and distribute various monthly reports for management within the agreed timeframes
Must have at least an undergraduate degree in Finance, Business Administration, Mathematics, Accounting or related subject.
Must have 2-3 years experience in Capital Markets
Must have completed GSE Securities Course
Excellent marketing skills and the ability to build relationships
Solid quantitative and analytical skills
Ability to work under pressure and independently
Ability to demonstrate excellent management skills
Excellent negotiation and persuasion skills
