Auditor at MTN Job Summary
The Auditor at MTN Ghana will carry out high priority/risk based continuous auditing, process and programme internal audit work as assigned in line with the audit plan and the standards and methodologies of Internal Audit. This role also performs analysis on internal controls, risk management and provides recommendations on improvements.
This role focuses on the continuous audit of areas such as Mobile Financial Services, Information Systems, Network, Finance, SCM, Contract Management, Human Resources, New Product Development, Commercial processes and other relevant processes.
This role is also required to undertake continuous audit to ensure compliance to internal policies and external regulations, which entails keeping up to date with changes in legislation.
Experience Level of the Auditor
Minimum of three years experience in information systems audit and/or information security
Analytical skills and proficient in the use of ACL, IDEA and other CAATS
Knowledge in SQL and programming/scripting skills
Experience in risk management, governance, security and compliance
General understanding of telecoms, financial services and regulatory environment
Experience in big data and analytics
Professional/Technical competencies of the Auditor
Basic knowledge of accounting principles, practices techniques and theories of financial reporting and internal controls
Auditing standards, practices and techniques
Ability to utilize applications and tools used to drive continuous auditing
Ability to interpret information and understand underlying commercial drivers of performance of Telecom industry.
Ability to plan, implement and maintain a comprehensive audit program and audit activities.
Analyze, evaluate and resolve basic internal control problems.
Ability to identify information security vulnerabilities and technical controls standards for networks, operating systems and databases
Ability to manage own time and workload and juggle conflicting priorities
Demonstrate evidence of influencing and coaching skills
